This Caribbean country on the northeastern coast of Central America, has announced the days that will be Public and bank Holidays in 2021.
While travel to Belize remains restricted until at least July, the announcement of the dates means that next year citizens can look forward to eight long weekends, including the extra-long four-day weekend for Easter, which falls at the start of April.
One holiday is lost to a Saturday, Labour Day, which falls on Saturday May 1st.
Both National Heroes and Benefactor’s Day and Pan American Day fall on a Tuesday, so under Belize’s holiday rules, they both get moved to the previous Monday.
