The UAE cabinet has approved the 2019 and 2020 unified national holidays for public and private sectors.
All ministries and federal offices have been asked to abide with the approved holiday calendar for year 2019 and 2020. In March, the Cabinet had issued a decree to enforce the unification of holidays for employees in the public and private sectors in the country.
It looks like Commemoration Day (Martyrs’ Day) has now settled on December 1st allowing all citizens to enjoy a three-day break at the start of December.
The Prophet’s Birthday also makes it back on the list after it had been demoted along with Isra & Miraj Night back in March, when the standardisation of holidays for the public and private sectors was first announced.
