The Guernsey government has announced that the Early May Bank Holiday will take place four days later on Friday May 8th in 2020.
The proposition for the change had been put forward by Deputy John Gollop.
This means that Guernsey will observe a holiday on the same day as the UK, which has moved the Early May Bank Holiday from Monday May 4th to Friday May 8th in order to mark the 75th anniversary of V.E. Day.
