The Oman government has announced that Tuesday July 23rd 2019 will be an official holiday to mark Renaissance Day for employees in ministries, public sector enterprises and other units of the administrative apparatus of the State as well as private companies, establishments and institutions.
Renaissance Day marks the first day of the reign of Qaboos bin Said al Said who came to power on July 23rd 1970 and united Muscat and Oman into a single state, named the Sultanate of Oman.
