Castile and León 2021 public holiday dates proposed

The holiday calendar for 2021 in the Spanish Autonomous Region of Castile and León has been proposed.

There will be twelve national and regional public holidays. Each municipality can add two more holidays to the calendar.

As the Assumption of the Virgin (August 15th) falls on a Sunday, it will be moved to the following Monday – August 16th.

In 2021, Constitution Day and the Immaculate Conception, fall on Monday and Wednesday, so many workers will be able to have five days without working, if they take the Tuesday as a bridge. Both Labour day and Christmas day falls on a Saturday.

The holiday dates for Castile and León in 2021 are:

Friday, January 1st, New Year; Wednesday, January 6th, Epiphany; April 1st, Holy Thursday; April 2nd, Good Friday; Friday April 23rd, Castile and León Community Day; Saturday, May 1st, Labor Day; Monday August 16th, Assumption day (in lieu); Tuesday October 12th, National Day of Spain; Monday, November 1st, All Saints; Monday, December 6th, Day of the Spanish Constitution; Wednesday December 8th, Day of the Immaculate Conception; Saturday, December 25th, Christmas Day.
