Qatar announces public sector holidays for Eid Al-Fitr

The Amiri Diwan has announced the Eid Al-Fitr dates for government bodies in Qatar.

According to the announcement, Eid holiday for ministries, other government entities, and public institutions starts on Tuesday, May 19th 2020, and ends on Thursday May 28th 2020. Employees are to resume their work on Sunday, May 31st 2020.

The holiday dates for the Qatar Central Bank (QCB), banks and financial institutions working under the supervision of QCB and Qatar Financial Markets Authority, will be announced by H.E. the Governor of Qatar Central Bank.

For Muslims, Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. It’s a joyful holiday when the faithful celebrate 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting.
