Pakistan to enjoy extended Eid-ul-Azha public holidays

In a notification issued by Interior Ministry, the federal government of Pakistan has announced the dates of the public holidays for Eid-ul-Azha in 2019.

According to the notification, Monday August 12th to Thursday August 15th have been declared public holidays for Eid-ul-Azha.

This one more day than last year, but the fourth day will be compensated by Saturday August 17th 2019 becoming a working day.

Eidul Azha is the Feast of Sacrifice, and is the most important feast of the Muslim calendar. It falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the twelfth and final month in the Islamic calendar.
