The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has confirmed that all federal ministries, institutions, and public sector entities will be on holiday from March 19th to 22nd 2026, with official working hours resuming on March 23rd.
For private sector employees, the holiday will run from March 19th to 21st. Authorities added that if Ramadan lasts 30 days, the private sector holiday will be extended to include March 22nd.
For Muslims, Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. It’s a joyful holiday when the faithful celebrate the completion of 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting.
