Indian Bank Holidays in November 2024

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a list of bank holidays for November 2024, with banks set to be closed for a total of 13 days, including weekend breaks.

  1. November 1 (Friday): Banks closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Manipur for Diwali, Kut Festival, and Kannada Rajyotsava.
  2. November 2 (Saturday): Diwali holiday closures in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
  3. November 3 (Sunday): Regular Sunday closure for all banks.
  4. November 7 (Thursday): Chhath Puja (evening offering) observed in Bengal, Bihar, Delhi and Jharkhand, with bank closures.
  5. November 8 (Friday): Chhath Puja (morning offering) and Wangla Festival observed in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Meghalaya.
  6. November 9 (Saturday): Second Saturday of the month, all banks closed.
  7. November 10 (Sunday): Regular Sunday closure.
  8. November 12 (Tuesday): Banks closed in multiple states, including Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, and New Delhi, for Igas-Baghwal.
  9. November 15 (Friday): Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima, and Rasa Purnima observed nationwide, with closures.
  10. November 17 (Sunday): Regular Sunday closure.
  11. November 18 (Monday): Kanakadasa Jayanti holiday in Karnataka.
  12. November 23 (Saturday): Fourth Saturday of the month, all banks closed.
  13. November 24 (Sunday): Regular Sunday closure.

With multiple holidays observed for festivals like Diwali, Chhath, and Guru Nanak Jayanti, bank services will be limited across different states throughout November. To avoid delays, customers are encouraged to plan ahead and use online banking services during these closures.

Please note that the central government holidays apply to all banks, the public and the private sector. Though the holiday dates may vary from one bank to another, there may also be other state-wise bank holidays. About the state holidays, customers are advised to visit their respective bank branches and find the exact dates.
