Public Holiday on Sept 6 in Pakistan Dismissed as Fake News

The Ministry of Information of Pakistan has issued a statement clarifying that the notification in circulation regarding a public holiday on September 6th 2024 is fake.

A post made by the Ministry’s factchecker on X said that disseminating fake news is ‘unethical’.

“Disseminating #FakeNews is not only unethical and illegal but it is also disservice to the nation,” the post said.

“It is the responsibility of everyone to reject irresponsible behavior. Reject #FakeNews.”
