The General Office of China’s State Council has released the official public holiday schedule for 2024, featuring an eight-day break for the Spring Festival.
In 2024, the Spring Festival holiday will run from Feb. 10 to 17, with adjusted working days on Feb. 4 and 18.
Surprisingly, Spring Festival Eve is not an official public holiday. Instead, people are recommended to take one day off on the eve of the Spring Festival, which falls on Feb. 9th, with their paid annual leave, according to the State Council.
The Ministry of Transport also said Wednesday that expressways across the country will offer toll-free access to passenger cars with up to seven seats from Feb. 9 to 17.
In total, there will be eight adjusted working days in 2024.
