The Gambia declares Public Holidays for Easter

President Adama Barrow has declared Friday April 15th and Monday April 18th 2022 as public holidays, in observance of Good Friday and Easter Monday. 

“In accordance with the provisions of section 76 (1) of the Constitution (1997) of the Republic of The Gambia, the Office of the President informs the general public that Friday 15th and Monday 18th April 2022 are declared public holidays throughout the country, in observance of the Christian Holy feast of Easter,” a dispatch from the State House said.

President Barrow wished the Christian community at home and abroad a blessed Easter feast, the dispatch added.
