Indian Bank Holidays In December 2020

India

After the disruption of Durga Puja, Dussehra and Deepavali in the last few months, it’s a quiet end to the year for bank holidays in India.

The only nationwide day that banks will close is Friday December 25th for Christmas Day.

It is still useful to know when then banks are closed, so you can plan any necessary transactions in advance and withdraw cash early to avoid empty ATMs. We recommend planning to obtain any cash by the middle of the month.

In total, banking services in India will be affected in some manner on 12 out of the 31 days in December 2020.
