Bahrain to observe Public Holiday on Oct. 29

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister has issued a circular regarding the public holiday of the anniversary of Prophet Mohammed’s birthday.

Under the circular, the kingdom’s ministries, state departments and public institutions will be closed on Thursday, 29 October 2020.

Also commonly known as ‘Milad un Nabi’, this day is observed as a public holiday in many countries with a large Muslim population as it commemorates the anniversary of the birth of the founder of Islam and the proclaimer of the Qurʾan.
