Sri Lanka declares Public Holiday for Coronavirus

Monday 16th March 2020 has been declared a Public, Bank and Mercantile holiday in Sri Lanka to prevent outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid-19), according to the Government Information Department.

Accordingly all Government and private institutions in Sri Lanka are expected to be closed on Monday. All public events are also banned.
