In a statement issued by the West Bengal State Government, it was reiterated that holidays had been declared on January 30th and 31st 2020 in connection with Saraswati Puja under the Department Notifications No. 5962-F(P2) & 5964-F(P2) both dated November 1st 2019.
In addition it has been announced that Saraswati Puja will also be celebrated on Wednesday January 29th.
The State Government has decided to declare a holiday on Wednesday January 29th in addition to the already declared dates, for all State Government offices, Urban and Rural Bodies, Corporations, Undertakings, Educational institutions and other offices/ institutions under the control of the Government of West Bengal with the exception of the Offices of the Registrar of Assurances, Kolkata, the Collector of Stamp Revenue, Kolkata and the West Bengal State Beverages Corporation Ltd.
