Kuwait’s National Day Holidays to last 5 days in 2020

This year, public holidays for Kuwait’s Independence Day and Liberation Day fall on Tuesday, February 25th and Wednesday, February 26th respectively.

Thursday, February 27th will also be considered as a holiday since it falls between a public holiday and the weekend, based on the Cabinet’s decision No. 4/1979 issued on July 22nd 1979 concerning public holidays, and amendments to it through decision No. 252 concerning the transfer of some public holidays.

Therefore, the National Days holidays will create a five day break from Tuesday, February 25th to Saturday, February 29th 2020. Official work will resume on Sunday March 1st.
