The Sindh government has announced public holidays on Wednesday December 25th and Friday December 27th 2019.
The Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department of the provincial government issued two notifications regarding the holidays.
December 25th has been declared a public holiday throughout the province on account of Quad-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
December 27th has been declared on the occasion of death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
On December 27th 2007 Benazir Bhutto was killed in a gun and suicide bomb attack after an election rally in Rawlapindi, shortly after returning to Pakistan from self-imposed exile
“All offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils falling under the control of the provincial government would remain closed on the day,” the notification read.
