Bahrain declares Public Holiday to mark Gulf Cup Victory

His Majesty King Hamad has declared Monday December 9th 2019 as a public holiday in celebration of Bahrain winning the Gulf Cup for the first time.

Ministries, government departments and public establishments will remain closed.

Bahrain beat Saudi Arabia 1-0 to lift their first-ever regional title at the Arabian Gulf Cup.

Bahrain, who last reached the final in 2004, were finally able to claim the cup after four previous final attempts.
