March 2021 brings about an average disruption to banking. In total, banks may be closed in at least one state on 13 out of the 31 days in March 2021.

As usual, Banks are also shut on Second Saturday, Fourth Saturday and Sundays.

The major festival that will affect banks is right at the end of the month, with Holi falling on Monday March 29th.

Apart from these bank holidays, the apex body of nine organizations of bank employees (UFBU) has announced a two-day strike from March 15 to protest against the proposed privatization of two public sector banks. So during this protest, banks may remain closed.
