Baharin announces Eid Al Adha holidays for 2020

HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of Bahrain, issued a circular regarding this year’s Eid Al Adha holidays.

The Kingdom’s ministries, directorates and official institutions will be closed from Friday July 30th to Sunday August 2nd, including Arafat Day and Eid’s first, second and third days.

The circular added, that as the holidays fall over Friday and Saturday, the official weekend in the Kingdom, Monday, August 3rd and Tuesday, August 4th will be given as holidays in lieu.

Eid Al Adha is the Feast of Sacrifice and the most important feast in the Muslim calendar. It celebrates the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael in submission to Allah’s command, before he was stopped by Allah.
