Kuwait announces a five-day break for Eid Al Adha

The Kuwaiti Civil Service Bureau has announced that the Eid Al Adha holiday will be five days long, starting from Thursday July 30th, until Monday August 3rd 2020.

In a statement published on Instagram, the Civil Service Bureau said that work will resume on Tuesday August 4th.

Arafat day, which falls on Thursday July 30, will be the first day of the Eid Al Adha holiday for all ministries, government agencies, public bodies and institutions.

Eid Al Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice is the most important feast in the Muslim calendar. It celebrates the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael in submission to Allah’s command, before he was stopped by Allah.
