Banks in Pakistan will be closed to the public on Wednesday July 1st 2020.
In a notification issued on Monday June 29th, the State Bank of Pakistan said that it will remain closed for public dealings on Wednesday July 1st 2019 which will be observed as Bank Holiday, enabling the bank to close its accounts.
The notification added that all banks / Development Financial Institutions (DFIs)/ Microfinance Banks (MFBs) shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealings on the aforesaid date.
However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend to their official assignments (in-office or work-from-home, as designated under the current COVID-19 situation) on Bank Holiday treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealing).
