In a tweet from the Qatar News Agency, Amiri Diwan announces that Eid holiday will be as follows: ministries, other government entities, authorities and public institutions shall start on Sunday August 11, 2019 and end on Thursday August 15, 2019.
The tweet added that Employees are to resume their work on Sunday August 18, 2019.
Eid al Adha, also known as the Feast of the Sacrifice, is an important Islamic celebration, which commemorates the sacrifice of Abraham, and follows the Haj pilgrimage to Mecca.
It is celebrated on the tenth day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, the last month of the lunar year in the Islamic calendar.
